Welcome to Warrington Hockey. We are a local, historical, family-friendly hockey club, situated in South Warrington.
How local? Well, we train every Thursday 8-9pm and play our games at Priestley College in Latchford. Our 2 mens and 2 ladies teams play Northwest games of both competitive and accessible levels. We’re part of Warrington Sports Club which is situated in Higher Walton.
What about the history? Hockey at Warrington Sports Club has a rich heritage, dating back almost 100 years as one of the first hockey clubs to be officially set-up. More recently into the 70s and 80s, Warrington was the northern powerhouse in grass hockey, playing premier division hockey at Olympic level!
Family-friendly? YES! Many of our members are lifelong, never needing to go elsewhere! We provide junior training every Saturday 11-12 for ages 6-13, as well as junior pathways to senior hockey from the age of 13. Our teams offer entry-level standards and Back2Hockey for anyone new to the sport; spouses, husbands, friends or family who may want to give it a try too!
At Warrington Hockey, we want to provide the community with quality access to our fantastic sport. We aim to give our members/players a space to enjoy the game, develop their skills and make new friends.
We work in partnership with a few local businesses such as Allmec Engineering, Lloyd Signs Solutions and Cantilever Cars, and are continuing to grow our presence in the Warrington community. So come and be a part of it!
