Barry Watkins
Barry is a former professional player who reached the top 50 in the world before injuries ended his career in 1986. After a long break from the game, Barry's renewed love for squash was ignited when he met up with his old friend Jahangir Khan in 2016. David Pearson, England’s most successful national coach, said of Barry: ‘His coaching ability is second to none and has a lot of knowledge to pass on to juniors and seniors alike.’ Barry is available for coaching any time on Fridays.

 

 

Ruby Bate
Becs Bate (Ruby) manages the junior coaching on Saturday mornings. She is a ladies first division player and started playing as a junior in Halifax at Queens and Old Crocs. She’s played in various clubs across Warrington for over 20 years, of which the last 10 years have at WSC.  She’s a level 1 squash coach.

 

 

Jo Woods
Jo is a Level 1 coach and has played Squash for over 30 years at Club Level. She is actively involved with the England Squash 101 programme, which is aimed at introducing beginners and bringing lapsed players back into the game. Jo works with the junior section, offering in an additional session on Wednesday’s at 4pm. Jo co-runs a Facebook Forum 'Squash World' with over 11,000 members in 100 countries.

 

 

Nathan

Nathan is currently a ESR level 2 coach, along with being the head coach for the Warrington Junior squash section. He has been coaching at the Club for the past 5 years, carrying out both group and individual sessions. He is currently captain the Mens 2nd team and is a well known member of the Club, he also won the 2018 Men's A Cheshire Plate event. He is available for coaching during weekday evenings and at the weekend.
